FINALLY FULL
Understanding Insulin Resistance in Midlife and What to Actually Do About It

You're doing everything right. So why does your body feel completely wrong?

A self-paced online course for midlife women who are done being told they're fine.

The weight that won't budge. The hunger that never switches off. The fatigue that sleep doesn't fix. The brain fog that makes you question yourself at work. The bloating that appears from nowhere.

You've been told your bloods are fine. You've been told everything is fine.  Maybe even handed generic advice about eating less and moving more. And you've blamed yourself every single time it didn't work.

It was never about willpower. It was always about hormones.

Finally Full is the clinical education your GP didn't have time to give you, and the practical tools to actually do something about it.

DOES THIS SOUND LIKE YOU?

You keep gaining weight, particularly around your middle, even though nothing in your diet has dramatically changed.

You are exhausted in a way that sleep doesn't fix. You need a nap to get through the afternoon, and you wake up already tired.

You can't remember things the way you used to. You're a capable, intelligent woman, and yet the simplest tasks at work feel harder than they should.

You're hungry all the time. Not the normal kind of hungry. The insatiable kind that makes you question your own self-control.

You've tried everything. Cutting out sugar. More exercise. Less food. And nothing has worked the way it's supposed to.

You're confused about what you're supposed to eat and terrified of making it worse. So you feel guilty about everything and confident about nothing.

You're worried. About diabetes. About your future health. About whether this is just what getting older feels like now.

Your GP told you your bloods were fine, but your body is clearly telling a very different story.

If you nodded at even half of that, you're in the right place.

HERE'S WHAT NOBODY TOLD YOU

What's happening in your body right now is not a mystery. It is not your fault. And it is not irreversible. You can do something to help.

Insulin resistance is one of the most common and most consequential metabolic conditions affecting women in midlife. It drives weight gain, fatigue, brain fog, cravings, inflammation and a host of other symptoms that are routinely dismissed or misattributed.

And here's the thing that changes everything: insulin resistance is heavily influenced by the hormonal shifts of perimenopause. The oestrogen decline that begins in your 40s directly affects how sensitive your cells are to insulin, how your body distributes fat, how your brain registers hunger, and how your muscles function.

You didn't fail your body. Your body's hormonal landscape changed, and nobody updated the instruction manual.

Finally Full is that instruction manual.

WHAT YOU'LL LEARN

Module 1: What Is Insulin Resistance and Why Does It Matter?

The conversation you should have had with your GP but didn't. Understand the diabetes spectrum, what blood sugar actually is, how insulin resistance develops, the early warning signs most women miss, and the critical fasting insulin number your doctor probably isn't telling you about.

Module 2: The Midlife Layer, Why This Hits Differently After 40

The module that makes women cry with relief. Finally understand why oestrogen decline accelerates insulin resistance, why belly fat is now a metabolic driver, not just a cosmetic concern, why the strategies that worked in your 30s have stopped working, and why you are not lazy; you are up against biology.

Module 3: Carbs, Blood Sugar and Your Plate

Cut through the noise about carbohydrates once and for all. Understand simple versus complex carbohydrates, the glycaemic index in plain language, how your gut changes in midlife and why that connects to your hormones, and exactly how much carbohydrate is right for a woman with insulin resistance.

Module 4: How to Actually Eat for Insulin Resistance

The practical module. Build every meal for blood sugar stability using a simple plate framework you can eyeball without measuring anything. Understand why protein is your single most powerful metabolic tool in midlife, calculate your personal protein target, and discover the foods that work hardest for your hormones. Plus an honest conversation about supplements, GLP-1 options, as well as the role of sleep and stress in metabolic weight management

Module 5: The Mindset and Behaviour Layer

Because knowledge alone was never going to be enough. Understand why the food noise and fatigue you're experiencing are biological, not moral. Learn the trigger-response-outcome framework for breaking the patterns that keep taking you off track. Discover why tapping (EFT) has genuine evidence for reducing food cravings. And finally, stop blaming yourself for something your physiology was driving.

Module 6: Your Personal Forward Plan

Turn everything you've learned into a clear, realistic path forward. Set your first goal properly. Map your predictable obstacles before they arrive. Know exactly what to ask your GP at your next appointment. And choose the right level of ongoing support for where you are right now.

WHAT WOMEN SAY

"I got diagnosed with insulin resistance and could not stay awake more than a couple of hours. I had absolutely no energy. I couldn't lose weight. The program taught me that what I was eating was damaging my body, and because I didn't understand it properly, I hadn't been able to lose weight. I lost 3 kg without any fuss in just a few weeks, just by understanding how many carbs I consumed. If you're thinking about joining, go for it. Amanda is a very knowledgeable lady who will sort you out."

Robin

"Having insulin resistance was tough because of the weight gain and tiredness. The program helped me because I am more educated about what my body needs, and it's made me more aware of the effects of what I eat. I already feel more energy and can quickly get back on track if I detour."

Naomi

"I knew that insulin resistance could lead to diabetes, which was also in my family. I also knew that it was a lot harder to lose weight. The biggest takeaway was understanding exactly what I have to do to help myself, a customised plan which suits my lifestyle. I benefited from Amanda's years of experience and knowledge. I really liked her down-to-earth approach and advice."

MEET AMANDA

I'm Amanda Mannes, an Accredited Practising Dietitian and the founder of Accept Health, a women's health dietetics practice serving women across Australia, with a particular heart for women in rural and regional communities who have historically had the least access to specialised care.

I have spent over two decades practising as a clinical dietitian. Many of those years have been spent working clinically with women navigating the intersection of hormonal change, inflammatory conditions, and metabolic health. I understand insulin resistance from both sides of the desk, as a clinician who has watched hundreds of women finally get answers, and as a woman who has managed inflammatory conditions herself for over twenty years.

I built Finally Full because this information shouldn't be a luxury. Every woman dealing with midlife insulin resistance deserves to understand what is happening in her body, why the old strategies stopped working, and exactly what to do about it.

This is that course.

THIS COURSE IS FOR YOU IF...

You have been diagnosed with insulin resistance, prediabetes or PCOS and want to actually understand what that means for your daily eating.

You are in perimenopause, and your body feels like it's working against you in ways nobody has properly explained.

You are exhausted by conflicting nutrition advice and want evidence-based guidance from a qualified clinician who specialises in midlife women.

You want to reduce your risk of progressing to type 2 diabetes without resorting to extreme restriction or a medication you're not sure you need yet.

You want to understand your body well enough to make confident food decisions for the rest of your life, not just follow a meal plan for three weeks.

You are done being told you're fine when your body is clearly telling a different story.

THIS COURSE IS NOT FOR YOU IF...

You are looking for a quick fix or a dramatic transformation in thirty days. This course gives you the understanding and the tools. The results come from consistent implementation over time.

You have a confirmed type 2 diabetes diagnosis and need individualised medical nutrition therapy. Please book a one-on-one appointment instead so we can work with your specific medical picture.

You are not willing to approach your health with self-compassion. This course will challenge the story you've been telling yourself about willpower and discipline. If you're not ready to hear that it was never about those things, the timing might not be right.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How long do I have access to the course?

Forever. Once you enrol, the course and all downloads are yours to keep and revisit as many times as you need.

How long will it take to complete?

Most women work through one module per day or every couple of days, so the course takes one to two weeks to complete. There is no right pace. Go as fast or as slowly as your life allows.

I live in a rural or regional area. Is this relevant for me?

Completely. We built this course with rural and regional women in mind. All content is self-paced and accessible from anywhere. And if you want one-on-one support after completing the course, telehealth appointments are available through Accept Health.

I've already been told my bloods are fine. Is this still for me?

Yes, and Module 1 addresses exactly this situation. Standard blood panels often miss the earliest stages of insulin resistance, particularly when fasting insulin isn't included. This course will help you understand what to ask for and how to interpret what you're told.

I'm not very tech-savvy. How do  I access the course?

The course is hosted on a simple, easy-to-navigate platform. If you can watch a video on your phone or computer, you can do this course. And if you get stuck, help is available.

What if I've already tried everything and nothing has worked?

That's exactly who this course is for. The reason previous strategies haven't worked is almost certainly not what you think. Module 2 will change the way you understand your own body, and that understanding is the foundation everything else is built on.

Is this a meal plan?

No. This course teaches you principles, not rules. The plate framework, the protein targets, the food strategies in Module 4 are designed to travel with you into every eating situation you'll ever face, not to tell you what to eat on Tuesday. The women who get the most from this are the ones who leave with genuine understanding, not a document they follow for three weeks and then abandon.

I have other health conditions alongside insulin resistance. Is this still appropriate?

The course covers the general principles of managing insulin resistance in midlife and is appropriate for most women. However, if you have significant co-existing conditions that require individual assessment, a one-on-one appointment with Amanda is recommended either alongside or after the course.

READY TO FINALLY UNDERSTAND YOUR BODY?

You've spent long enough blaming yourself for something your hormones were driving.

You've spent long enough being handed generic advice that was never designed for your body at this stage of life.

You've spent long enough feeling like your body is a mystery you'll never solve.

Finally Full gives you the clinical education, the practical tools, and the self-compassion framework to change your relationship with your body in midlife, starting right now.
